Professional Bio:

I am a co-founder of Liminal Leadership.  I was trained as a doctoral student and postdoctoral fellow at the Racial Empowerment Collaborative, where I am a research/training affiliate.

What is Racial Literacy?

For over a decade, I have trained thousands of professionals and practitioners in racial literacy across the education, business, healthcare, and non-profit sectors. I have also been a school leader in the public, parochial, and charter school sectors.

I received my doctorate in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, where I studied culturally relevant leadership practices. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Racial Empowerment Collaborative in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methods at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. I received my bachelor of art degrees in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

I am currently a school leader in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District.
